The Wednesday Word

men·dac·i·ty

I chose this word because I love the way it rolls off the tongue. It sounds like audacity and I would probably use it in a poem to rhyme with mendacity as the words meanings also would go together –

He had the audacity to confront me with such a mendacity! Even the word mendacious sounds rich in its pronounciation!

Let’s revive diction, allowing the richness of  words to fill our mouths and give joy to the ears of those we meet.
